Chris Pereira Having worked at ME Bank for 4 and a half years, Chris literally goes out of his way to help our customers with their home loan needs.

With car keys and lap top in hand, Chris will be there to answer your questions. Whether you would like to know how much you can borrow, need an approval in principle, or if you are ready to purchase or refinance your existing loan, Chris is always on the move, and lives up to our promise of 'Being open for business... in your living room.'

Chris says that he will "do anything possible to assist new and existing ME customers realise their financial goals and get them into their dream home faster" As with everybody at ME, Chris strives to "provide excellent service and to treat customers with respect."

Jeannie Claridge – Customer Service Consultant – National Customer Contact Centre

Jeannie Claridge After nearly 3 years of working at our Customer Contact Centre in Melbourne, Jeannie still loves to help customers solve any problems they may have. "Helping a customer out with a question they have about their accounts, or helping them save time and money are just two of the little ways I can help" says Jeannie.

Jeannie also says that ME Bank as an organisation is "supportive and friendly" and would recommend it as a place to work for anyone that puts value on providing value for money and great service to their customers.


Ashley Wijeyesekera – Customer Service Consultant – National Customer Contact Centre

Ashley Wijeyesekera Ashley has been with ME Bank for a year, working in our Melbourne based customer contact centre.

Ashley predominantly answers calls from new customers looking at starting a relationship with ME Bank. Ashley's sales skills, coupled with his outstanding customer service means that customers are only too happy to let Ashley help them.

Ashley says he always enjoys "the challenge of finding the right solutions for our potential customers, and getting them in contact with one of our mobile banking managers as quickly as possible."


Shannon Barnes – Product Manager – Business Banking

Shannon Barnes Having been with ME Bank for 5 years now, Shannon has seen both of our retail and business banking operations grow from very small beginnings into to reputable force within the Australian market.

Having started off in the early days of ME Bank in a communications and product management role, Shannon is now the product manager of our Business Deposit products.

Shannon has overseen such product innovations as our high interest Business Investment Account, and our Business Term Deposits. Shannon believes that our success is in "helping every day Australian businesses grow into successful organisations that are respected in their communities."

Working at ME Bank also has many positives. Shannon says that her job involves "meeting a vast range of people all striving for success. Everyone has a great customer service ethic and work well together in support of our customers."

Mr Jamie McPhee  - BEng (Hons), MBA, FAICD, FAIBF, Sfinsia

Jamie McPhee The Board of ME Bank appointed Jamie McPhee in February 2010 to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Jamie joined ME Bank from the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. Following the merger of Adelaide Bank and Bendigo Bank in November 2007, Jamie was appointed Executive Director of the merged company. He then went on to hold the position of Chief Executive, Partner Advised Banking.

Mr Bernie Fraser Bernie is a former Secretary to the Treasury and Governor of the Reserve Bank. He is currently an independent director of two large industry super funds.

Ms Anna Booth

Ms Anna Booth Anna is a former National Secretary of the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia, Vice President of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, director of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG), Commonwealth Bank of Australia, National Road Motorists Association (NRMA), Chair of Industry Funds Investment Ltd and member of the Westpac Customer Committee. She is currently a director of two companies within the Industry Super Holdings Group, Industry Funds Management and Members Equity Portfolio Management. Anna is also is an executive director of her own workplace relations consultancy firm CoSolve Pty Ltd and she is non executive Chair of the listed law firm, Slater and Gordon Pty Ltd.

Mr John Ries

Mr John Ries John retired from the ANZ Bank as an executive director after a career of thirty-eight years. He is currently a director of Joyce Corporation Ltd, Clive Peeters Ltd, Australian Biotechnology & Healthcare Fund No 3 Ltd and Mercy Health & Aged Care Inc.

Mr Garry Weaven

Mr Garry Weaven Garry is Chair of Industry Funds Management and has been a director of VicUrban since its inception. Garry's background includes a period as Assistant Secretary of the ACTU and a period as Senior Consultant to Westpac Financial Services. He was also the founder and Executive Chair of Industry Fund Services.

Mr Brian Pollock

Brian is currently Chairman of Becton Property Group Limited, Clive Peeters Limited and A E Smith Pty Ltd. He is also a director of Industry Super Holdings Pty Ltd, Members Equity Bank Pty Ltd, ME Portfolio Management Limited, Industry Funds Management Pty Ltd, Industry Funds Management (Nominees) Limited, Industry Funds Management (Nominees 2) Pty Ltd, Programmed Maintenance Services Limited Group and the Macquarie Real Estate Equity Fund series of companies.
Brian has over 35 years experience in superannuation, financial services and property investment. A former National President, he is one of only 7 members to have been awarded National Life Membership of the Property Council of Australia.

Anne De Salis

Ms De Salis has a diverse career spanning the public and private sectors, with considerable experience in financial services. She has held senior executive / director positions with AMP Limited, MBF Australia Limited, the Commonwealth Treasury and the Office of the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Paul Keating.
As a non-executive director since 1996 and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Anne has worked on a wide variety of boards and is currently a director of the NSW TAFE Commission and a trustee director of SAS Trustee Corporation (NSW State Super) and Funds SA.
Ms De Salis is currently a business consultant with The Academy Network and an executive coach with Executive Coaching International.

Sandy Grant

Mr Grant has been in the finance sector for 38 years, principally in superannuation and related activities, and mainly in general management and marketing functions. He joined Colonial Group in September 1966 and enjoyed over 30 years service with them until leaving in mid 1997 to join Industry Fund Services as Managing Director. Mr Grant remained at IFS until September 2004, when he left to take on the role as Chief Executive Officer of Cbus, the superannuation fund for workers in the building and construction industry. Mr Grant retired as the Chief Executive Officer of Cbus in March 2008 and is currently a director of Member Connect Pty Ltd and Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees Pty Ltd.
